With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner this is a great time to make a healthy shamrock shake! This shake is loaded with glowing skin ingredients minus the unhealthy sugars and carbs in a traditional shamrock shake. Bonus points because it’s dairy free and paleo friendly.
It is so important to be aware of what you are eating from day to day. I am constantly preaching about this on my social media platforms because if you are not happy with the way your skin looks you truly have to visit your food intake. If you are consuming a lot of dairy, and sugars (just to name a few) it will have a huge impact on your skin.
I love making shakes or smoothies because it is super easy to do and it packs a serious punch with nutrition. I like to combine a healthy fat, veggies, protein, a little bit of fruit and fiber into my shakes. It takes me about 5 minutes to do.
Now lets get back to the healthy shamrock shake! Do you know what is in a shamrock shake from McDonald’s? There are over 50 ingredients in the shamrock shake and it includes dairy, artificial colors, corn syrup, artificial dyes and over 60 grams of sugar (just to name a few). I certainly do not want to ingest those ingredients because they will wreak havoc on my skin. That’s why I decided to come up with a healthier version. It is creamy thanks to the avocado, delicious and it gets its natural green hue from spinach. Oh and don’t worry you can’t even taste the spinach.
