It can become very time consuming when you have to apply your moisturizer, foundation and spf. And when the weather starts to get warmer I really opt towards very simple steps because I do not want to take a lot of time getting ready in the morning. Trying to find a sunscreen that can fit into your daily facial regimen can become overwhelming and that is why a lot of people leave behind the spf. But, not to worry, because today I am going to break it down for you and give you options for tinted face sunscreens that will fit into your lifestyle.
When it comes to choosing a facial sunscreen you really want to make sure that you are getting one that is nontoxic. In my previous post (Best Mineral Sunscreens for 2021) I went into a little bit more detail on the importance of knowing the ingredients. You want to know what the active ingredients and inactive ingredients that are in your sunscreen. This is important to understand and know because anything we put on our body goes directly into our bloodstream. These are also known as endocrine disruptors and you want to do your best to eliminate those.
I do happen to love tinted face sunscreens because it makes it very easy to incorporate it into your daily beauty regimen. It is nice when a product has a hint of color because then you can apply the other makeup such as concealer, blush and bronzer and you will not look overdone during the summer months. I just love a fresh face for the summer time!
Here are the tinted nontoxic face sunscreens that I love the most:
This is a beautiful tinted moisturizer that feels like second skin. It has a nice sheen to light coverage and enough moisturizer to not leave your skin oily. If your skin is dry than I recommend applying your moisturizer first before applying this. It has a broad spectrum spf 30 with a mineral zinc oxide. This tinted face sunscreen comes in four shades: fair, light, golden light, and medium.
I love how Ilia marries makeup, skincare and sun protection with this tinted face sunscreen serum! It comes in 30 different shades and feels like skin when applied. This truly is a tinted sunscreen where you can see your skin after it is applied. It has an SPF 40 with a non-nano zinc oxide and it is also oil free. It will leave the skin looking dewy and does not settle into the fine lines (which I love). If you find this to be too sheer for your liking you can always add it to your foundation – apply both to the back of your hand and blend together before applying to the face.
If you are looking for a little bit more coverage in a tinted face sunscreen then this one is for you (and me)! It contains ingredients such as coconut oil, broccoli seed oil, pomegranate and ginseng to keep the skin hydrated and nourished. It has an SPF 30 with a zinc oxide and comes in four shades: fair, light, medium and medium dark. This has a thicker consistency then the other two face sunscreens I mentioned above so you will probably benefit from applying it with a sponge or a makeup brush (click this for my fave foundation brushes).
While these are excellent as a daily tinted sunscreen I would not be wearing these if I went to the beach or the pool.
So tell me, are you using these tinted sunscreens I mentioned? What is your favorite tinted face sunscreen?
